Do you have tips to help me use this LakeStClairData.net website?
Yes; this and other FAQs pages will inform you about this website, the Lake St. Clair Regional Monitoring Project (Project) and the water and sediment quality issues that stimulated the Project. The website also provides maps that help you visualize the watercourses in the Project region, extensive water and sediment data resulting from sampling and water quality monitoring during 2004 and 2005, and means to retrieve data and navigate the website.
Can I register with the Macomb County Health Department to provide comments, ask questions or be notified of Project related events or information?
Yes, click here to access the Contact Us/Registration page. Thanks for asking.

How do I access Project data about water or sediment quality, rainfall and streamflow?
The Data Retrieval page and the Users Manual provide instructions for accessing the database.
Is there a way for me to learn about the parameters, or substances, that are of concern and for which there is Project data?

What is the Lake St Clair Assessment Project?
Since 1998 the Macomb County Health Department has conducted an annual assessment of water and sediment quality in Lake St. Clair and in portions of the Clinton River Watershed within Macomb County, with emphasis on E.coli concentrations. All Assessment project data for 2004 and 2005 are available from this website's database; and you can also click here for information about Assessment Project results since 2001 from annual report Executive Summaries and sampling location summaries.
How does the Lake St. Clair Regional Monitoring Project differ from the Lake St. Clair Assessment Project?
The Regional Monitoring Project involves broader geographic and hydrologic areas, emphasizes the impacts of storms on Lake St. Clair and its major tributaries, includes the development and continuance of this website, provides the embedded water quality and sediment quality database and will result in a comprehensive final report.
